Welcome from the Department Head

Welcome to the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences! Our program is nationally accredited by the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). A degree in any of the programs which we offer prepares graduates to work in a variety of fields, all aimed at improving the lives of individuals and families. Field experience is a requirement of all curricula and is one of the major components of these programs. The newly renovated Family and Consumer Sciences building is a state-of –the art facility, complete with a commercial foods lab, merchandising, lab, computer lab, and student lounge. It is a warm, inviting place for enhanced student learning!
